Optimal waterproofness is assured thanks to the membrane being directly laminated against the outer layer, which also prevents the outer layer from absorbing water and getting soggy. The thermal liner is detachable and can easily be zipped out on less cold days.

The cuffs are also fitted with a zipper – instead of loops and straps – to connect the detachable liner to the outer layer. This differentiator called Easy Cuff prevents floating layers and your feet from getting stuck whilst putting on the Ultimax.

At the bottom of the legs you can also spot a reinforced piece of fabric we call Heat Shield. This heat-resistant fabric prevents a meltdown whenever your pants and exhaust accidentally come into contact.
Superfabric and accordion-like fabric can be found at the knee. The former is abrasion-resistant and the latter provides additional freedom of movement.

Your knees are well protected by our CE approved R.I.S.C. level 2 knee protectors. These are accessible from the outside and easy to place in the right position.

Last but not least; our differentiating Waist Lock – which has been developed nearly twenty years ago – and Side Eye; nifty placed reflective Night Eye elements that make you better visible from the side. The Ultimax pants is also prepared for hip protection and the use of suspenders.
